NEW 2026 – completely new pattern for Size Chart 2

With Cute Dogs, a completely new generation of Lucy & Fly dog vests arrives for the 2026 season.

The pattern has been newly developed specifically for Size Chart 2. Over the years, one thing has become very clear through fittings and personal consultations: many small dogs have a more compact body shape and a broader chest than conventional standard sizing allows for.

That is exactly why we created an additional fit for these dogs.

Cute Dogs is not an adapted version of an existing vest. It is based on a completely new pattern developed for dogs whose proportions are better suited to our Size Chart 2.

The vest combines a comfortable fit with an integrated harness, weather-resistant softshell on the outside and exceptionally soft fleece on the inside – finished with a cheerful dog print that gives the model its distinctive character.

Important difference: vest or coat with full belly protection?

Please pay particular attention to this point before ordering.

Cute Dogs is a vest and not a dog coat with complete belly coverage.

The lower section protects the chest and front belly area. However, the belly area between the front and hind legs remains open.

This is the key difference between this vest and our dog coats with extended belly protection, such as Bella.

The more open construction keeps the vest lightweight, uncomplicated and comfortable to move in. It is particularly suitable for dogs that need warmth around the back, chest and front belly area but do not require complete protection underneath the body.

Special female-dog cut

Although the central belly area remains open, Cute Dogs is designed in our female-dog cut.

Our female vests are cut longer underneath than the corresponding male versions, providing additional coverage while maintaining the freedom of movement that makes a vest so comfortable.

Super-soft fleece for cozy warmth

The inside of the vest is lined with exceptionally soft fleece.

This creates a pleasantly insulating and cozy layer, making the vest especially comfortable during cool autumn days, transitional weather and winter.

For small dogs that are sensitive to cold, the combination of weather-resistant softshell and soft fleece can be particularly comfortable on dry or chilly days.

Weather-resistant softshell with high water resistance

The outer fabric is made from high-quality, breathable softshell.

Material specifications:

18,000 mm water column
12,000 g/m²/24 h breathability

The fabric therefore provides a high level of water resistance while remaining breathable. The finished vest is sewn rather than hermetically sealed, so during prolonged or very heavy rain, moisture may eventually enter through seams or openings.

Integrated harness – dress, clip on and go

The integrated harness makes Cute Dogs especially convenient for everyday use.

There is no need to wear an additional harness underneath the vest. The adjustable black straps can be adapted to your dog's body and form one practical unit with the garment.

This means fewer layers and a much simpler routine before going outside.

Freedom of movement

The lighter, more open vest construction makes Cute Dogs particularly comfortable for active dogs and for dogs that dislike heavily enclosed winter clothing.

It is ideal for everyday walks, autumn and transitional weather, cool dry winter days, city outings and travel, as well as compact dogs with a broader chest that need warmth without complete belly coverage.

Why Size Chart 2?

Fit is one of the most important factors in comfortable dog clothing.

Size Chart 2 was developed for more compact dogs with a broader chest, whose proportions may differ significantly from conventional standard sizing.

Please do not select the size according to another manufacturer's sizing system or simply by estimation.

Please measure your dog before ordering

Before placing your order, please measure your dog carefully according to the Lucy & Fly measuring guide.

Your dog should be standing naturally on all four paws. Back length and chest circumference should be measured according to our instructions, as every manufacturer uses different patterns and size charts. The current product page also specifically asks customers to measure before ordering.

Cute Dogs is currently still in production.

The first delivery is expected around mid-September 2026.

The first production run is intentionally very limited. If you would like to secure your preferred size in time for the cooler season, we recommend placing your pre-order as early as possible.

Fitting Note

Please try the vest on indoors only at first. Use it outdoors only once you are certain that the size and fit are correct.

SIZE NOTE

This model was designed for female dogs with a special fit requirement or a broader chest than standard. You can find instructions on how to measure correctly in the menu item measure your dog.

*The dog coat offers highly effective protection against rain, dirt and splash water. However, your dog is not completely hermetically sealed from the outside world. In very heavy rain, water can still get inside at the cuffs and seams in rare cases.
