What bag size fits your dog?
The right bag size is crucial for your dog to feel safe, comfortable, and well taken care of while on the go.
For each of our dog bags, you will find a precise indication of the weight for which the respective size is intended. At the same time, it is important for us to say: Weight alone is not always enough to really assess the right size well.
Because your dog's body structure is equally decisive.
A small dog with a longer back, particularly long legs, or a more robust chest often needs more space than the weight alone might suggest. In such cases, we often recommend a larger size – even if the weight would theoretically still fit the smaller bag.
Which measurements are particularly important
For each bag, you will find the specifications for:
- Floor length
- Floor width
- Bag height
These measurements help you better assess how much space your dog actually has in the bag.
It is important to note: All specified measurements are external dimensions of the bag.
Our tip for a realistic assessment
The easiest way to assess is with a measuring tape.
Measure the specified floor length and floor width on a table or directly on the floor. Place your dog next to it – this way you quickly get a much more realistic sense of how spacious or compact the respective bag appears.
Afterwards, you can pull the measuring tape vertically upwards to better assess the bag height. This step helps many customers visualize the bag not just in numbers, but really spatially.
